Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using RioEventHive ("Service," "we," "us") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RioEventHive provides private event hub services, including event pages, RSVP collection, photo sharing, and related tools. We offer tiered packages (Basic, Premium, Ultimate) with different features. Your event page is typically live from 6 weeks before until 2 weeks after your event date unless you purchase an extension.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating events and when RSVPing
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws
  • Not upload content that infringes others' rights, is defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data

4. SMS Program (Text Messaging)

RioEventHive may offer an SMS invite feature so event hosts can send a one-time text invitation with an event link to their guests. By using or receiving messages from this program:

  • Program name: RioEventHive event invitations
  • Description: One-time SMS invitations sent by event hosts to their guests, containing a link to RSVP and view event details. This is not a recurring marketing program.
  • Message frequency: One-time per invitation; we do not send recurring marketing texts.
  • Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier.
  • Support: For help, email rioeventhive@gmail.com or reply HELP to the number that sent you the message.
  • Opt-out: To stop receiving messages from that number, reply STOP. You will receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.

5. Payment & Refunds

Payment is due when you purchase an event package. Prices are in USD. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy; contact us at rioeventhive@gmail.com for refund requests. Extensions (e.g., keeping your event page live longer) may be offered as a separate paid option.

6. Intellectual Property

RioEventHive and its branding, design, and platform are owned by us. You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g., photos, event text). You grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as needed to provide the Service (e.g., showing your event page and delivering summaries to you).

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or for other operational or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
